Ruling cause of death as myocardial infraction makes it a disease and not an injury. I do not know anything about the law in Bulgaria but In the US that distinction means that there is no insurance liability.

It is uncommon for an apparently healthy male of this age to suffer this kind incident. There should have been some indication during this mans diving physical that he was at risk for this type of occurrence. Also, he would most likely have suffered a number of warning symptoms in the hour prior to the final event. Another possibility, assuming he had a pre-disposing condition, ... something occurred during that dive to trigger the event .. surprised discovery of an unexpected threatening condition like a running pump, an actuating valve, a strong current when there should have been none, etc.

Personally I would strongly pursue further investigation ... if that is possible. If nothing else than to take of his family.

The picture from the link is not correct. The equipment used there is KM27/37. The comms didn't fail. They just went silent after few minutes of agony. The diver died from heart attack trapped under а floodgate with pumps running. Multiple facial and body traumas found during the autopsy caused by the pressure differential. No safety, untrained,  uncertified staff, lack of commercial diving law in Bulgaria caused another lost life. Rest in peace Rado.
